2016 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Selection Show: Preview, start time, how to watch/live stream and more

It's Selection Monday for women's basketball!

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

After the men's NCAA Tournament was revealed yesterday, the attention of women's college basketball fans focuses on Selection Monday, when the women's field of 64 will be revealed and teams learn of their matchups. For the South Carolina Gamecocks, unlike with the men's team, there will be no drama. The Gamecocks know that they will officially be granted a #1 seed and be given the right to host the first two rounds of the tournament at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. The only question is who they'll be playing, and when. It will be the third straight year that Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks have earned one of the field's top seeds.

The UConn Huskies, who enter the tournament seeking their fourth straight championship (eleventh overall) and their sixth undefeated season, are the heavy favorites to win it all. The Huskies have exercised dominance over just about every opponent they have faced this season and are not expected to face many challenges on the road to yet another Women's Final Four. Notre Dame (seeking their second women's title) and Baylor (in search of their third crown) are in line to join UConn and South Carolina as the tournament's top four seeds.
