Selected fourth overall in the draft by the Dallas Wings, Gray started all 34 games. She scored 13 points per game and grabbed 3.9 rebounds per game, second among rookies in both categories. She also nabbed 1.5 steals per game, good for seventh in the league.
With the Gamecocks, Gray played a pivotal role in the team’s national championship season after transferring in from North Carolina. She notched a program-best shooting performance (11 of 13) against UNC-Asheville in the NCAA tournament, and made the Final Four all-tournament team after 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks in the title game against Mississippi State. In the regular season, Gray averaged 13 points per game with 4.8 rebounds while playing in a record 37 contests for the Gamecocks.
