Ron Morris: USC takes high road witn NCAA (from Sunday). All the snark you've come to expect from The State's senior sports columnist.

Gene Sapakoff: Spurrier, South Carolina Gamecocks football program can move on after NCAA accepts self-imposed penalties. Less snark than you've come to expect from Gene, however. While Sapakoff praises Eric Hyman for handling the investigation and the COI hearing with aplomb, let's not forget that it was the former USC compliance officials - who worked under Hyman - that fumbled in the first place with both the Whitney and SAM matters. Add some penalty strokes to Hyman's scorecard for having to clean up his own mess. Nevertheless, Hyman was masterful in getting us out of the trap; it could have been a much heavier blow.
