The South Carolina Gamecocks announced a future addition to their schedule on Wednesday morning, picking up another pair of games against the N.C. State Wolfpack in 2030 and 2031.
Rather than a neutral-site arrangement in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, the Gamecocks will instead host State on Sept. 14, 2030, and travel to Raleigh on Aug. 30, 2031, to open that season.
The last time the programs met was a 35-28 South Carolina win in Charlotte’s Belk Kickoff, a closely contested game that went down to the final seconds. USC is currently on a three-game winning streak in the series — historically, the Gamecocks hold a 28-26-4 all-time advantage between the former ACC rivals, sporting a 19-9-1 advantage in Columbia but trailing 17-8-3 in Raleigh.
Speaking personally, I’m glad to see this series resume. It’s a natural pairing of similar fanbases and programs that also compete for many of the same recruits, so it just makes sense. What do y’all think?
