Today, champagne will flow, pots and pans will be clanging, and four teams get together and play a little football. Not just any football. These two contests will determine who will play for the College Football Playoff National Championship, and no matter how much you debate whether or not these games should have been played on New Year's Eve, a bunch of people will still probably watch because college football is awesome.

Here's what you need to know as we prepare for not one, but two national semifinal games on the last day of the year:

CFP Semifinal at the Orange Bowl

(1) Clemson Tigers (13-0)  vs. (4) Oklahoma Sooners (11-1)

4:00 p.m. ET | Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida

TV: ESPN | Live stream: WatchESPN.com

Commentators: Brad Nessler (pxp), Todd Blackledge (analyst), Holly Rowe (reporter)

Odds: Oklahoma by as few as 1.5 and by as much as four.

Rooting interest: Come on, you guys all know you're rooting for Oklahoma in this one.

CFP Semifinal at the Cotton Bowl

(2) Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1)  vs. (3) Michigan State Spartans (12-1)

8:00 p.m. ET | AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas

TV: ESPN | Live stream: WatchESPN.com

Commentators: Chris Fowler (pxp), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst), Heather Cox and Tom Rinaldi (reporters)

Odds: Bama favored by 9.5/10.

Rooting Interest: I guess...Bama, because #SEC, but if you don't like the EVIL Nick Saban, go with Sparty.
