Antoine Wilder commits to South Carolina

The Gamecocks keep rolling on the recruiting trail.

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

Within a 24-hour stretch from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon, South Carolina has added three players to its 2015 recruiting class. Defensive back Antoine Wilder of Atlanta (Ga.) Hapeville Charter became the latest to commit to the Gamecocks, making his pledge while in attendance at South Carolina's big camp event on Friday. Wilder is the high school teammate of fellow USC commit Arden Key.

As is the case with Jalen Henry, the surprise commitment from Thursday night, not a whole lot is known about Antoine Wilder. The 5'11, 175-pound defensive back has not been evaluated by any of the major recruiting services. Outside of South Carolina, his only other known offers at this point have come from Mississippi State and Tennessee State. Wes Mitchell of The Big Spur reports that the relative lack of attention that Wilder has received to this point has a lot to do with his academic situation, which has improved of late.

Wilder becomes the second defensive back to join South Carolina's 2015 class. Four-star cornerback Mark Fields committed to the Gamecocks in March. Three-star cornerback Damon Arnette is also in Columbia this weekend, and many have designated him as being on "commitment watch."

Based on his highlight video (he's primarily lined up at safety), what kind of star rating do you think he'll receive when the recruiting sites get around to evaluating him?
