Wednesday News and Notes: Fun with Clemson Part 2693, Baseball Sweeps USC-Upstate, and More

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Apparently Clemson is preparing a new offense. A two-QB offense. While traditionalists like Steve Spurrier continue to only line one signal caller up under center, Dabo has decided that's not enough. Says Dabo:

With two QBs on the field at once, no one will know who's going to throw the ball until it's too late.

I'm calling it now: ACC championship for the Tigers this year.

(Yes, I'm aware that it must be nice to have, you know, depth at QB. And that a Carolina guy probably shouldn't make two-QB jokes. And that Clemson owns us. And I may have made that Dabo quote up.)

On to the rest of the news. The biggest thing that happened for us yesterday was the two wins over USC-Upstate by respective scores of 9-2 and 6-3. While the wins were expected, it was good to see us avoid any last-minute pitfalls before heading into the postseason. The regular season ends this week with a home series against the Jekyll-and-Hyde Georgia Bulldogs, who took care of business themselves yesterday with a win over rival Georgia Tech. A series win over the Dawgs will put us at second in the SEC East and give us a fifth or better seed in the SEC Tournament. It might also give us a chance to host a regional, and considering this prognosticator's alternative, that might be a good thing.
