Evidently there's a run on commitments for South Carolina's 2015 class, as three high school footballers have announced their intentions to play in Columbia within the past twelve hours. Evidently, winning 33 games in three seasons pays dividends on the recruiting trail.
We already told you about three star CB Jaire Alexander and four star ATH Octavis Johnson. Three star TE Connor Redmond has now joined the commitment party, marking the 18th overall commitment for the 2015 cycle.
Redmond, who hails from Lawrenceville, GA, is considered the 29th best tight end in the country according to the 247 Composite. At 6'4", 220 pounds, Redmond held offers from the likes of Louisville, Boston College, Virginia and Kansas State among others. Redmond joins Kyle Markway as the second tight end committed to South Carolina for the 2015 cycle. Dedicated readers may have anticipated this commitment, as Redmond was one of the five likely-to-commit prospects we told you about earlier today.
Gaze upon Connor Redmond's junior highlights all ye mighty and despair:
This isn't the first time South Carolina's pulled a three star Connor from the Peach State. If I recall correctly, it worked out alright last time.
