Three-star defensive end Quandeski Whitlow commits to South Caorlina

The Gamecocks stay red-hot on the recruiting trail, picking up their fourth commitment in five days.

Three-star defensive end Quandeski Whitlow of Opelika (Ala.) High School committed to South Carolina on Monday, making the news publicly known through his Twitter feed. Whitlow's decision to expedite his announcement timeline by eight months immediately after getting offered by South Carolina on Saturday seemed to bode well for the Gamecocks.

Whitlow is the No. 31 weakside defensive end prospect and the 698th overall prospect in the 2015 class according to the 247Sports Composite index. The 6'3, 221-pound defensive end committed to South Carolina over offers from twelve other schools, including finalists Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Miami. He becomes the 15th prospect to join South Carolina's 2015 class and the fourth in the past five days.

Whitlow's commitment gives the Gamecocks three defensive end commitments in the 2015 class, joining four-star prospects Arden Key and Shameik Blackshear. The primary defensive end target remaining on South Caorlina's board is four-star JUCO prospect Marquavius Lewis, a 6'4, 271-pound strongside end who is originally from Greenwood, S.C.

What will Steve Spurrier call him?
