UConn, fresh off their third straight title, is a unanimous #1. Tennessee (#4), Mississippi State (#13), Texas A&M (#16) and #17 Kentucky are the other SEC teams in the poll.

Ranked teams on the Gamecocks' schedule are #10 Ohio State (11/13), #15 Arizona State (11/27 in Hawaii), and #12 Duke (12/6), along with the aforementioned #16 Aggies (1/17 in Columbia, 1/31 in College Station), #13 Bulldogs (1/24 in Starkville), #17 Wildcats (2/4), #1 Huskies (2/8) and #4 Lady Vols (2/15 in Knoxville)
