Gamecocks at #2?
That’s a bold pick.

Like I said, I tried to base it on the play over the weekend.
We played well against probably the best opponent anyone played outside of LSU (who looked like a horrible—if talented—team, IMO). I don’t think this will remain like this all year. Certainly, you would expect that Florida will work their kinks out, and I probably overranked MSU and, arguably, us. But I don’t know—we looked good last week. This week will be the real test, of course.

I would say its pretty accurate
South Carolina, statistically did play the toughest team outside of LSU, and we was able to shut down their star WR on defense and run rampit over their defense. I would argue that UK should be a bit higher though, as they moved the ball effectively on a Charlie Strong coached defense (which as we know is always good). I think u got Miss. St. in a good spot, maybe even jump over Auburn… as Miss. St. played a decent Memphis team and Auburn struggled some against a weak Arkansas State team.

Maybe I'm being a bit hard on Kentucky. But I don't have much respect four Louisiville, Charlie Strong or no.
He’s going to have a challenge rebuilding that program.

I think this is fair for everyone involved
I’d argue making USC #1 because let’s be realistic, Alabama played San Jose State and not Southern Miss. Other than that, I’ve got no major issues based on current performance.

Kentucky 9th
Just going off of performance? Louisville may not be good, although they are better than 75% of the rest of the competition the SEC played in week 1. There is no way Florida played better than UK did. Is Florida the better team? Yes… UK will probably beat their cupcake this weekend by 40 points, but look for them to stay right around where they are now in your ballot next week. I would love to see Hartline get his revenge Vs USC and see Spurriers’ dominance end over us.

I'll give you that
Feathered Warrior. UK really needs to put an end to these ridiculous streaks before we can ever expect respect.
