Despite their loss to Kentucky, this team still sports only three conference losses in a rugged East. They still get the nod for the top spot IMO.
If Vandy wins both of this week's games--at Kentucky and hosting Florida--they'll make a strong case for the top spot in my ballot next week.
Nice win over Florida today. Unfortunately, it doesn't prove much, because winning at home has never been a problem for this team, which sports the nation's second-longest home winning streak. What they need to do is beat a good team on the road.
The slipper may have fallen with the loss in Oxford. The SEC wins total is great, but with an RPI in the 80s due to their horrible OOC performance, the Tide now have work to do if they want to make the field.
Another team that needs some wins down the stretch to feel safe on Selection Sunday.
Bracketologists seem to like this team a lot, probably due to their impressive OOC wins, but their SEC performance has been shaky. They're probably a lock for the NCAAs if the bracketologists are right, but I'm not sure I think they're what they're cracked up to be.
Nice win over Tennessee. Is it a sign of things to come? This is a talented team that could go places in the SECT if it gets its act together.
Nice record due to a lax schedule, but a paper tiger that hasn't won many big games.
Nice win over Alabama, but too little has gone right for this team over the course of the season for me to give them much credit. The midweek loss to South Carolina doesn't help.
Might be better than Arkansas and Ole Miss, but hasn't had many chances to prove it in the East, where the Gamecocks are severely outclassed.
11. LSU Tigers
Snapped their losing streak with a win over Mississippi St.
12. Auburn Tigers
Poor Auburn. The Tigers have improved over the course of the season, but they can't seem to get out of the close games with a win.
