Bruce Ellington ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash on his first attempt and a 4.31-second 40-yard dash during his second attempt at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine. Ellington's second attempt gave him the third-best unofficial 40 time at the Combine, behind Brandin Cooks of Oregon State and Josh Brown of Division II Pittsburgh State, both of whom were clocked at 4.30 seconds.
As you might have guessed, Ellington's former teammates were pleased with his performance.

Ellington also turned scouts' heads catching the ball.
Opinion: Ellington looked really natural there.
