One of the things that gets lost in the holiday season is the fact that not everyone is able to enjoy a good meal. While the U.S. has access to many resources, that, unfortunately, is the sad reality. One of the organizations committed to making sure every child is able to get a meal when they need it is No Kid Hungry.

We got an email from Dom Garrett, part of the management team at The Only Colors, (our sister site covering Michigan State athletics) asking if sites around the SBN college network be interested in helping with the cause this year. We jumped at the opportunity and think it’s a great way to help the less fortunate among us - some of whom could even be down the street for all we know.

Here’s where you come in: we’ve set a goal for $5,000 with all the proceeds going to No Kid Hungry. You can donate here throughout the weekend and we’ve set up a page where you can do so - just click here. Just $1 can ensure that a child has access to up to 10 meals. Also, any gifts made to No Kid Hungry on Giving Tuesday - the 29th - will be matched dollar for dollar!

We’d love to blast through this $5,000 goal, so please share the word, get it out on social media, and be sure to donate today!
