Connor Shaw, former South Carolina Gamecock QB, released by the Cleveland Browns

Looks like Connor will be looking for employment elsewhere in the NFL

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

After joining the GABACast earlier this week, it appears that former South Carolina Gamecock quarterback, Connor Shaw, will be looking for employment elsewhere in the NFL. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Shaw signed an UDFA contract with the Cleveland Browns and was relegated to the practice squad.

By the end of his rookie year however, he earned a start, and his teammate's respect in week 16. In his 2 years for the Browns Connor Shaw threw for 177 yards on 14/28 passing and 1 INT.

Connor Shaw spent the 2015 campaign on the IR list because of a broken right thumb during the preseason. With the release of Shaw, the Browns now have 4 QB's on the roster in the form of Robert Griffin III, Josh McCown, Austin Davis, and Cody Kessler.
