The GABACast. Episode 95: DAWG Gone-it.

The better team won on Saturday in Athens, but that won’t stop us from throwing shade at Baylor and the NFL. Also, we fixed the NCAA Playoff system!

NCAA Football: South Carolina at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings, loyal listeners!

Listen, things didn’t go our way this past Saturday, and we aren’t ones for moral victories, but, hey, it could’ve been worse, right?

I mean, like, way worse.

So, we’re here this week to try and put a positive spin (actually, DC3 tries, and Sam tries to play the role of ‘Debbie Downer’ for a change) on a loss to a simply better football team. In addition to our post-mortem analysis, we try to figure out how this loss can help the team this upcoming week when the Florida Gators come to Columbia to try and salvage something out of a forgettable season. As always, we hand out our winners and losers, including a new contender for loser of the year (lookin’ at you, Kansas Jayhawks). We review the basketball team’s opening charity game against Virginia Tech (which wasn’t pretty, folks), give our thoughts on the not-so-breaking news that Deebo Samuel will return for his final year of eligibility, provide some insight on ‘laptop-gate’ (i.e. Dave Doeren needs something better to do), discuss the absolute worst football game of the year, and give y’all some tips on playing NCAA Football ‘14. All that, and we still find some time to, quite literally, fix the NCAA College Football Playoff system (hint: there is a talent portion). You won’t want to miss it!

As always, please click here to find us on iTunes, where you should absolutely review and rate us (pretty please), or you can just mash the play button below!
