Well, the South Carolina Gamecocks lost a very wild, weird game against the Clemson Tigers this past Saturday. The Gamecocks were out-manned, literally and figuratively, but played a much more competitive game than the scoreline indicated. Some exceptionally pedestrian play inside the redzone and a few gaffes in crucial third (and fourth) down situations ultimately sealed their fate, but not before Carolina’s offense hauled off for 600 yards of offense, led by a career performance from Jake Bentley. This podcast does not condone ever losing to Clemson in any capacity but there were some positive takeaways from Saturday night’s game.
We go in depth on our takes from the Palmetto Bowl, but we also run through the rest of rivalry week to determine our winners and losers. Some highlights:
- why would anyone ever fight Kevin Faulk?
- Kendrick Rogers ridiculous catch against LSU.
- nobody played defense yesterday, not even Michigan.
- The FCS playoff is better.
- Les Miles to Kansas is actually good?
We also do our best to preview this weekend’s final game against the Akron Zips, including our crystal game balls and our uniform predictions for the matchup, which will take place at Noon, and will be on SEC Network. You can checkout a little preview here if you’d like.
