Way back on Nov. 18, the Gamecocks romped past Georgia Washington, 90-55, in the final matchup of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament to salvage a third-place finish in the event. Senior big man Chris Silva finally looked like his old self with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and rookie A.J. Lawson continued his strong play with 19 points and nine rebounds. Maik Kotsar (12 points) and T.J. Moss (11) were the other Gamecocks in double figures.

South Carolina enjoyed 48-32 rebounding advantage, and also sank 13 3-pointers.

What to watch for

The Terriers, ever scrappy, are having a pretty solid season so far, with their only losses coming to a top-10 North Carolina squad (78-67) and Oklahoma (75-64). Senior guard Fletcher Magee is still a scoring machine, leading Wofford with 18.5 points per game and shooting at a 41 percent clip from behind the arc. This is kind of a tough matchup to come back to after a break — the Terriers could be a handful.
