Will Muschamp and the South Carolina staff received its eighteenth commitment of the 2019 class on Monday afternoon in three-star Nokesville (Va.) Patriot offensive guard Jakai Moore. Moore made his decision at a high school ceremony on Monday, spurning overtures from Penn State to spend his college career in Columbia.
And Moore did it with the rare triple fakeout. He unzipped his jacket to unveil a Carolina jersey, took that off to unveil a Penn State hoodie...then took that off to unveil his Carolina gear before donning the Carolina ballcap that was in front of him.

A tipping point for Moore’s decision stemmed in part from his relationship with offensive line coach Eric Wolford.
“He’s showed me how many guys he’s coached and that he’s coached in the NFL,” Moore told Rivals.com. “He knows how to get guys there and can help me on the way to becoming a first round pick.”
Offensive guard will be a position of need for the Gamecocks with Zack Bailey finished and Donell Stanley’s status for 2019 up in the air despite being granted a sixth year of eligibility. Moore will hopefully push for a spot in Wolford’s offensive line rotation right out of the gate.
