Two of the South Carolina Gamecocks’ offensive stars were honored by the Associated Press on Monday, with seniors Deebo Samuel and Zack Bailey landing first- and second-team All-SEC selections, respectively.
Wide receiver/kick returner Samuel grabbed the first-team all-purpose spot, and also landed on the second team as a wide receiver selection. He led the Gamecocks with 62 receptions for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaged 123.2 all-purpose yards per game, and added two more scores on special teams.
Offensive lineman Bailey earned a second-team spot at guard. Bailey has been an anchor along South Carolina’s line for the past few seasons, and helped pave the way for the Gamecocks to average 32.6 points and 440.2 yards per game. Bailey also started 38 games in his South Carolina career, which is the most on the current team.
