South Carolina at Vanderbilt: Week 4 Injury Report

The Gamecocks hit the road in pretty good shape.

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

After a long and frustrating layoff due to Hurricane Florence, the South Carolina Gamecocks are back in action as they hit the road to Nashville for a date with the Vanderbilt Commodores. As you’d expect, there’s thankfully little news to speak of on the injury front. Akeem Auguste, the infamously banged-up former cornerback, is here to guide you through it.

Zero Augustes - Full go!

One Augustes - Should play, but won’t start

Two Augustes - Game-time decision

Three Augustes - Questionable

Four Augustes - Unlikely

Five Augustes - Out

D.J. Wonnum — Five Augustes

The preseason All-SEC defensive lineman is still rehabbing a ligament injury in his ankle, which is expected to keep him out for at least a month.

Josh Belk — Three Augustes

The highly-lauded defensive lineman transfer from Clemson has seen limited action this season as he’s still working into football shape. According to coach Will Muschamp, he hit a snag with an ankle injury, so things are a little up in the air for the freshman right now.

Mon Denson — Zero Augustes

The junior running back has been working his way back from a hamstring injury and should be good to go.

Chavis Dawkins — Zero Augustes

After missing the first two games of the season with a high ankle sprain, the junior wide receiver is finally ready to play.
