The South Carolina Gamecocks announced their “battle armor” for tomorrow’s clash against North Carolina, and in case you haven’t seen it yet, spoiler alert: it’s the all-white “Stormtrooper” look.

While the video reveal was excellent as usual, I gotta admit I’m not feeling it. I know the all-whites are beloved by many in the USC fanbase, but I’m a notable weirdo who doesn’t find them particularly inspiring. I enjoy our school colors, and more to the point, every team out there has a white uniform. It’s got a certain simplicity and clean edge to it that I can appreciate, but in general, I find it kinda visually uninteresting. What say y’all?
Also, speaking of excellent video work, the crew blessed us with another pre-game production to get us hyped:

This and another video they posted earlier in the week are interesting, because it takes more of a solemn approach to the start of the season, as opposed to the typical highlight reel interspersed with smack talk, pump-up jams, etc. Hopefully it means the team is focused and ready to go, fight, win, and kick ass.
