South Carolina’s 2020 recruiting class got stronger on Tuesday, with the commitment of four-star wide receiver Rico Powers Jr.

Powers, who visited Columbia for the Bama game this past weekend, chose the Gamecocks over offers from Auburn, Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee, and others. The Hapeville Charter product out of Savannah, Ga., is rated the 31st-best prospect in his state and the 56th-best wide receiver nationally by 247Sports.
South Carolina’s class now sits at No. 19 in 247Sports’ rankings, with Powers currently the headliner of the group.
