MLB: Kansas City Royals-Workouts Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

As various sports leagues gear up to resume play in modified seasons with new safeguards and regulations in place amid the COVID-19 pandemic, minor league baseball won’t be happening this year, but MLB games are about to get underway, albeit without fans in the stands or a full 162-game season.

Here’s a quick look at where former Gamecocks are now playing in the pros:

Jackie Bradley Jr. - Boston Red Sox

Grayson Greiner - Detroit Tigers

Whit Merrifield - Kansas City Royals

Jordan Montgomery - New York Yankees

Justin Smoak - Milwaukee Brewers

Christian Walker - Arizona Diamondbacks

Tyler Webb - St. Louis Cardinals

Additionally, the following players were non-roster invitees to summer camp:

Tyler Johnson - Chicago White Sox

Clarke Schmidt - New York Yankees

Max Schrock - St. Louis Cardinals

Taylor Widener - Arizona Diamondbacks
