After bouncing back from an Opening Day loss to take the series against VMI over the weekend, the Gamecocks are back in action this afternoon as they host the North Florida Ospreys. This is the first ever meeting between the two teams. The Ospreys are coming off of an opening weekend series loss to Radford, but they avoided the sweep with a win on Sunday.

The starting pitcher for the Gamecocks is expected to be John Gilreath. The freshman left-hander had his Carolina debut on Friday and pitched four innings of scoreless relief for the Gamecocks. The Ospreys will start Frank German, a junior RHP who has not pitched yet this season but had a 2.43 ERA last year and was first team All-Atlantic Sun.
