2018 NCAA Tournament: Greenville Regional Day 1 Preview, Game Times, and How to Watch

The Road To Omaha begins today

It’s one of the absolute best days of the year, as the NCAA Tournament begins today and a weekend filled with exciting, high-stakes baseball games begins. Nobody will be eliminated until tomorrow, so today 64 teams and their fans all get to dream about making it to Omaha and anything feels possible.

A full, interactive bracket to keep up with the tournament as a whole can be found online here. Each regional pod is expandable to show the actual regional bracket and the scores of the games.

Greenville Regional Game 1: #2 South Carolina vs #3 Ohio State

The Gamecocks and Buckeyes will meet in the first game of the regional this afternoon. You can learn more about Ohio State in our preview of their team here, and you can take a look at where the Gamecocks are at entering the tournament here.

South Carolina will start junior RHP Adam Hill (4.08 ERA, 92 SO, 46 BB). The Buckeye starter will be junior LHP Connor Curlis (3.81 ERA, 73 SO, 29 BB).

The winner of the game will face the winner of Game 2 at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The loser will play in an elimination game against the loser of Game 2 at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Greenville Regional Game 2: #1 East Carolina vs #4 UNCW

The second game of the regional will take place Friday night between the Pirates and the Seahawks. You can check out our preview of ECU here and our preview of UNCW here to learn more about each team.

The ECU starter will be junior RHP Chris Holba (2.45 ERA, 57 SO, 19 BB). The Seahawks will start junior RHP Alex Royalty (3.99 ERA, 85 SO, 23 BB).

The winner of the game will face the winner of Game 1 at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The loser will play in an elimination game against the loser of Game 1 at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

When: Friday, 7 p.m.
