Do you pore over hours and hours of recruit highlight videos every day? Can you recite Rivals, 247Sports and Scout's top 100 players from the class of 2018 by memory? Do you have Todd McShay, Tom Luginbill and Mel Kiper Jr. on speed dial?
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then we certainly would love to bring you on as Garnet and Black Attack's recruiting editor. If not, well, that's still OK. From a realistic standpoint, we're mainly looking for someone who's dependable (i.e. willing to put in the hours/work) and proactive. Our recruiting editor will be in charge of not only conducting interviews with South Carolina Gamecocks recruits - and beginning the relationship early in the process with not just the players, but their coaches - but providing analysis, writing up recruit profiles, watching and analyzing video, etc. You'll also lead our annual National Signing Day coverage and have a chance to get your work in front of thousands of people every week. We don't require writing experience, but it would be very helpful, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Social media experience (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) would be very helpful as well. This position will likely qualify for a stipend, which we can hammer out later after a brief probationary period.
