#2 South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Ole Miss Rebels

When: Thursday, January 28th, 7 PM

Where: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, South Carolina

How to Watch: SEC Network+ / WatchESPN

Three-Point Preview

1. Dawn Staley has had a winning tradition against Ole Miss since she became head coach. In the 10 contests versus Ole Miss she has been a part of, South Carolina is 8-2. The average margin of victory for the Gamecocks has been 15 points while both losses were close games decided by a single point.

2. The friendly confines of the Colonial Life Arena have been host to a current 43-game win streak for the Gamecocks. That is the longest active streak in the nation as South Carolina posted consecutive undefeated 16-0 home records for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. Texas A&M was the last team to win in Columbia with a 50-48 victory on February 20, 2013, a little less than three years ago.

3. South Carolina is statically the best team in the SEC. The Gamecocks lead the league in scoring (71.7 points per game), field goal percentage (46%), 3-point field goal percentage (36%), scoring margin (+17.4), and field goal percentage defense (33%). These numbers come even with four of South Carolina's seven SEC match-ups against ranked opponents.
