#2 South Carolina Gamecocks vs. #10 Texas A&M Aggies

When: Sunday, January 31st, 6:00 p.m.

Where: Reed Arena, College Station, Texas

How to Watch: ESPN2/WatchESPN

Three Point Preview

1. The next three games for Dawn Staley and her team won't make or break the season, but they will gauge if South Carolina is a legit national championship contender. This three game stretch against #10 Texas A&M, #12 Kentucky and #1 UConn is the program's toughest, and maybe most important in recent memory.  The Gamecocks are already 2-0 against the Aggies and Wildcats, but those wins didn't come in the most convincing fashions.

2. Texas A&M leads the overall series 3-2, with four out of five games decided by single digits, and three by two or fewer points. Along with being close, this matchup is dominated by defense. It's rare for either team to score more than 65 points. In all five match-ups, both teams were ranked coming into the game.

3. The biggest difference between the two teams may be how they fare against ranked opponents this year. The Aggies are only 3-3 against ranked teams this year with wins against Duke, California and Oklahoma. The Gamecocks however, have yet to blink against a ranked team in 2016. South Carolina is 7-0 in top 25 match-ups. If they can make it 10-0, they'll be the number one team in the land.
