Here's what you need to know about tonight's women's basketball game in Oxford.
Three Point Preview
1. These two teams met about a month ago in Columbia on January 28th. South Carolina won that match-up handily 81-62 as its size and length rattled the Rebels all night. Defensively, the Gamecocks forced 14 Rebel turnovers to cash in on 18 points. On the end, they created 17 second chance opportunities off 21 offensive rebounds.
2. Alaina Coates and A'ja Wilson dominated Ole Miss down low in January, both logging double-doubles off rebounds and lay-ups. But points in the paint have been a strong point for the entire team all season. Dawn Staley's squad averages nearly 40 points per game in the paint this year (38.5) and rarely lets their opponent match them. No team has outscored South Carolina down low in a game this season, while UConn and Vanderbilt have tied.
3. One of the biggest factors in finding lay-ups on offense, may be South Carolina's unselfishness. After all, sharing is caring for this year's Gamecocks. The offense ranks number one in the conference with 14.8 assists per game and assists on nearly 60 percent of their made field goals. South Carolina assisted on a season-high 77 percent of their made shots against Ole Miss in the year's first match-up.
