Getting Football Season Started with EA Sports
It's July, it's hot as hell, and college baseball season is over. Must mean that football season is right around the corner.
It also means that this year's edition of EA Sport's NCAA Football will be hitting the store shelves soon. The folks at EA made a deal with SBN to sponsor a week-long series of posts on the mania that possesses us every fall. Around SBN, different university-specific blogs will talk about their fandom. EA isn't telling us what to say, but is rather interested in having its name attached to our thoughts about the fan culture surrounding college football.
I was more than happy to be a part of EA's plans. I'll be posting each day on a series of college football fandom topics, beginning later this afternoon with "How I Became a South Carolina Fan." From there, the topics each day will be as follows:
Tuesday: All-Time Favorite Gamecocks Team
Wednesday: Gamecocks Tailgating Traditions
Thursday: All-Time Favorite Gamecocks Players
Friday: Most Memorable Gamecocks Moments
Monday: Expectations for the 2010 Gamecocks Season
Tuesday: NCAA Football 11
EA Sports and I hope that you'll join the conversation in the comments section of each post. As always at SBN, we're interested in what the community as a whole has to say.
Go 'Cocks.

Yeah, they're great games. If I'm going to have any corporate entity's name attached to my blog...
this seems like a reasonable choice.

no
doubt, although I just downloaded the demo and they lost a bit of fandom from me… they seem to be suckling at Clemsons nipples; having them as a team to play in demo mode (one of only 8 teams)… and they highlight the apparent Clemson/Mizzou rivalry, which I didnt even know existed.

The Clemson/Mizzou rivalry? They've only played four times total. Hmm.
