Connor Shaw's second 40-yard dash attempt gave him the fastest unofficial time of any quarterback at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine. His time of 4.55 seconds was one one-hundredth of a second faster than 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and potential top-five draft pick Johnny Manziel.
Shaw ran a 4.58 during his first attempt but improved by two one-hundredths of a second on his second attempt. As was the case when Bruce Ellington became the first Gamecock of to turn in a strong 40 time, Shaw's former South Carolina teammates were excited.
My boy Connor shaw got the fastest time #beast #gamecocknation
