Game 3: #4 Campbell vs. #3 Old Dominion

The Camels and Monarchs fight to survive in the opening game of the day. The winner looks forward to a best-case scenario where they play the top two seeds on Sunday in some order, depending on the winner of the nightcap. Even if they can win both of those games, they would still require another victory over the winner of tonight's match-up on Monday evening to advance out of the regional. That four-game win streak seems unlikely for either of these clubs, but it can only begin with a win this afternoon. The loser ends its season.

Start time: 1 p.m.

Stakes: Winner plays an elimination game on Sunday at 1pm; loser eliminated.

Game 2: #1 Gamecocks vs. #2 Maryland

After a win on a walk-off HBP, the Terrapins advance to the winner's bracket of the regional, where they meet the top-seeded Gamecocks, fresh off a 5-2 victory over Campbell last evening. The Gamecocks will throw Jack Wynkoop, who tries to rebound from a 2.2-inning outing in Hoover last weekend against the Florida Gators. Ken Massey's rating system projects a tight, 3-2 Gamecock victory.

Start time: 7 p.m.
