If that Mike Davis rushing total looks familiar, it's likely because it's just two-and-a-half yards shy of his actual rushing total from 2013. Similarly, 11.5 five touchdowns is just half a touchdown more than his actual output from last year. At least in the case of Davis, Bovada appears to be rigidly adhering to the notion that the most reliable predictor of future performance is past performance.

With South Carolina returning four of its five offensive linemen from 2013, Gamecock fans are doubtless expecting Mike Davis' production to take at least a small step forward in 2014. But it's worth noting that a dip in No. 28's counting stats need not necessarily indicate a drop in performance. South Carolina is deeper and more experienced at running back than it was a year ago, so it may not be necessarily to lean on Davis quite as heavily.
