Will Muschamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks have pulled in yet another recruit for the 2017 class. Four star athlete, Shawn Smith, committed this afternoon amidst a flurry of Gamecock related NFL Draft news.
Shawn Smith is out of Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Georgia. Smith is listed as a 4 star recruit by ESPN and the 18th best player at his position for 2017, and the 33rd best player in the state of Georgia. After the decommitment of Stephen Guidry earlier this week, this could turn out to be a big get for the Gamecocks as they lack playmakers on offense.
Smith (5'11, 160) finished his junior year at Brunswick High School with 33 catches for 315 yards and two touchdowns along with 75 carries for 509 yards and 7 more TDs. In his sophomore campaign Mr. Smith put up 485 yards and 4 TDs on 33 catches along with 101 carries for 624 yards with 9 scores on the ground.
Another one!#SpursUp!
