Post & Courier: Unfortunately, it looks like former star South Carolina wide receiver Pharoh Cooper might miss the Los Angeles Rams regular season opener due to injury. Will Muschamp continues to emphasize that he plans to win now, not later.

The State: A quick look at the depth chart for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Jamyest Williams thinks he can have a big, immediate impact in Columbia. And can Brandon McIlwain lead the Gamecocks back to relevance?

The Big Spur: Will Muschamp is still finalizing his decision on who starts at QB; although, I wouldn’t emphasize too much who starts, as it’s all but decided that at least two QBs will play. Derek Mason, Vanderbilt’s head football coach, wants you to know that it’s their night - I think Muschamp and company will have something to say about that. A little bit of baseball recruiting news, Chad Holbrook dipped back into the Rock Hill area to get another recruit out of Northwestern High School.
