The South Carolina Gamecocks are back in action tomorrow to wrap up the regular season with their weather makeup game against the Akron Zips. This is a hurting bunch of Gamecocks, but thankfully there aren’t any more ugly surprises. Former and oft-injured Akeem Auguste is here to guide you through the final injury report.
Zero Augustes - Full go!
One Augustes - Should play, but won’t start
Two Augustes - Game-time decision
Three Augustes - Questionable
Four Augustes - Unlikely
Five Augustes - Out
Aaron Sterling — Five Augustes
Turns out the sophomore defensive lineman is lost for the year, requiring surgery on a meniscus tear that he suffered against Ole Miss.
Jaycee Horn — Two Augustes
The freshman cornerback was a late scratch against Clemson last week, sending fans into a panic when he turned up on the sidelines in a boot. He’s still rehabbing an ankle injury, but practiced this week and will likely give it a go against the Zips.
J.J. Enagbare — One Auguste
The freshman defensive end missed the Clemson game with a head injury, but should be fine for Akron.
A.J. Turner — One Auguste
The junior running back didn’t play against the Tigers after showing up on the sideline in a sling. However, he’s not only full go for Akron, he’ll also be trying his hand at playing some nickelback to help South Carolina’s depleted secondary.
