The Feed Pail November 29, 2015: It's time to turn the page to a new era of Gamecock football

Let's review 2015's last painful loss, then look forward to the future with hope

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

TheState: Finding new coach becomes main focus for Gamecocks. Kendall and Cloninger report that Tanner wants to have a new coach within the next two weeks and that Herman, Smart, and Fedora are the three top candidates. Also, New coach won't solve all of USC's problems. This is absolutely true. The new coach is just the really important first step in a turnaround that will probably take a few years.

TheBigSpur: Gamecocks will enter 2016 with little star power. Danny Garrison says that if both Pharoh Cooper and Skai Moore leave for the NFL, it will be the official end of an era for the Gamecocks. For the first time in years South Carolina won't have a star either on the team or (probably) on the coaching staff. Also, Gamecocks fail to benefit from Tiger mistakes.

GamecockCentral: Dismal season ends with Palmetto Bowl loss. Scott Hood calls yesterday's game a "cruel and painful microcosm" of the 2015 South Carolina season.

Post&Courier: With season over, 'wait and see' period begins for Elliott, Gamecocks.
