Since they gave me no credit here, I'm forced to come to the heartbreaking conclusion that someone else probably had the same idea at the same time. Still, I commend the Athletic department on a great decision.

I sincerely hope they don't go political. I've never liked professional wrestling, so Ric Flair isn't appealing to me either. Plus I haven't heard a decent "Wooo!" out of that guy since the early 2000s. As a Falcons fan, I'd actually like to see Dan Reeves. or Sidney Rice, that guy is awesome. Or heck, Houston Texans' owner (and SC Honors College Scholarship donor) Bob McNair would be a great touch. Who you got?

There are a lot of guys to pick from.
George Rogers and Sidney Rice are good choices. It’s not like Rice is doing anything else right now. Sterling Sharpe should be considered. Harold Green was a Pro Bowler. There are probably a few other good choices. I just don’t know that much about USC football history. They ought to showcase someone. It might help with recruiting.
On a side note, I think it is so retarded that a professional wrestler has the key to the cities of several locations throughout this state, including Columbia where there is a whole day of the year in his honor. Professional wrestlers are some of the most immoral entertainers on television. Why are politicians in this state honoring one? I don’t want Ric Flair on television associating himself with this state in any way until he renounces his former career and is able to represent any people with diginity.
stuff 'bout stuff.

Rogers or Rice is a good call
However, I disagree with the Ric Flair bit. Go Gamecocks WOOOO!

I would like to see
Rice or Sharpe, that would be pretty awsome… a Hall of Fame WR, and potentially a future one.
