SEC Power Poll Ballot

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

Looks unbeatable right now. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win by two TDs in Death Valley, as strange as that sounds.

2. LSU Tigers

Would be epic if they have something for 'Bama this weekend, but I'm doubtful. You never know in Tiger Stadium, though.

3. Georgia Bulldogs

I really have no idea how to rank the next three. I'll go with the "what have you done for me lately?" approach.

4. Florida Gators

Who are the "violators" now, smart alecs?

5. South Carolina Gamecocks

Not quite out of the running in the SEC East.

6. Texas A&M Aggies

Not a team you hear a lot about on a national scale, but quietly putting together an excellent season. Could easily be undefeated with a couple of more favorable bounces, and should only get better over the next few years. Clearly ready for SEC play.

7. Mississippi St. Bulldogs

Welcome back to reality.

8. Ole Miss Rebels

Welcome back to relevance. Big chance for a splashy win this weekend. Like TAMU, this program appears poised to rise in coming years.

9. Vanderbilt Commodores

Quietly back in position for a bowl bid if it can win two of four at UK, at Ole Miss, home against UT, and at Wake. You have to imagine they're capable of at least beating UK and then splitting UT and Wake.

10. Tennessee Volunteers

Yeah, I'd say that about does it for Derek Dooley.

11. Arkansas Razorbacks

Back to reality after getting to play a team other than Auburn or Kentucky.

12. Missouri Tigers

Needs two of four at Florida, at UT, home against Syracuse, and at TAMU to go bowling. Not looking likely, folks.

13. Auburn Tigers

By far the worst Auburn team of my lifetime.

14. Kentucky Wildcats

Hard to believe they're worse than Auburn, but they probably are.
