SEC Power Poll Ballot

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

I feel like they're going to win this weekend, but I'm much less sure of that than I thought I would be earlier in the season.

2. Georgia Bulldogs

Better than a fighter's chance, but I wonder how well they'll deal with being punched in the mouth for the first time since the Florida game.

3. Florida Gators

Impressive win in Tallahassee has the Gators back in the top three. Best list of scalps in the country.

4. Texas A&M Atggies

Future looks really bright for these guys.

5. LSU Tigers

Looking shaky ever since the close loss to 'Bama.

6. South Carolina Gamecocks

The season didn't live up to its former promise for Carolina, but that win over Clemson is one Gamecocks fans will remember for a long time.

7. Vanderbilt Commodores

Very good chance to finish ranked with a bowl victory. I know he only has two years of experience as a head coach, but I'm surprised Franklin isn't getting more consideration for the coaching vacancies.

8. Ole Miss Rebels

Very good first year for Hugh Freeze ends with a win over rival Miss. St. With a good recruiting class in the works in Oxford, the future looks bright for this program.

9. Mississippi St. Bulldogs

Maybe the most underwhelming eight-win team ever.

10. Missouri Tigers

The TAMU-Mizzou game was a case study in what different directions these two teams seem to be headed in.

11. Tennessee Volunteers

Another season from hell ends for the Vols. Will they make the hire they need to return to prominence?

12. Arkansas Razorbacks

Close but no cigar against LSU. Like Tennessee, these guys are only concerned about making a good coaching hire. at this point.

13. Kentucky Wildcats

Lost to coachless Tennessee. Ugly.

14. Auburn Tigers

Laid down against their rivals. That right there justifies the firing of Chizik.
