The Hogs hung around at times, but USC eventually pulled away for a decisive victory over Arkansas in Fayetteville. The final score was 73-56.
The Gamecocks played very well offensively in this game, shooting 52% from the field, 41.2% from downtown, and 80% on 16-20 from the line. Those numbers allowed four Gamecocks to get into double figures scoring, including Tiffany Mitchell's 15 points and Alaina Coates's double-double of 14 points and 11 boards. The Gamecocks also significantly outrebounded the Hogs, matching their 10 offensive rebounds despite having several fewer misses from the field.
USC's biggest game of the SEC slate is now upon us, with Tennessee visiting Columbia this coming Monday. Unfortunately for the Vols, they will be without their star player, center Isabelle Harrison. Harrison recently tore her ACL and is out for the season.
