It’s The Final Cockdown’s Running Backs week! We go down the depth chart and take a look at who will have a shot at carrying the ball out of the backfield in 2017. If you missed the others, here’s their links below with a preview of what’s to come this week:

Rico Dowdle | AJ Turner | Ty’son Williams | Mon Denson | Caleb Kinlaw | Tomorrow: CJ Freeman

#32 Caleb Kinlaw

RS Junior / 5’10” / Goose Creek, S.C. / Pearl River C.C.

Caleb Kinlaw started his collegiate career in the Big Ten at Wisconsin. After taking a redshirt, Kinlaw featured in one game for the Badgers in 2015, racking up 30 yards and a touchdown catch in a win over Miami (OH). He took the JUCO route out of Madison and landed at Pearl River C.C. in Mississippi. He only featured six times due to injury, gaining 150 yards and a touchdown.

Kinlaw is a walk-on, choosing to come back home to South Carolina. He will be hoping to break into the rotation somehow. With experience in the Wisconsin running back room that included Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement, Kinlaw can only help the group in Columbia, no matter how much play time he gets.

Kinlaw’s 2016 Stats: 34 carries, 150 yards, 1 TD.

Recruitment: A 3-star out of high school, Kinlaw had offers from a pool of solid programs. Clemson, Tennessee, North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Florida International and the Gamecocks all offered before he signed with Wisconsin.
