It didn’t take long for Will Muschamp to get a commit out of the last big recruiting event of the summer, as three-star offensive tackle Jesus Gibbs committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks at Saturday’s Spurs Up cookout.
The 6-foot-4, 265 pound tackle becomes the fifth offensive lineman to join the 2018 class, joining previous commits Hank Manos, Maxwell Iyama, Wyatt Campbell and Lamarious Benson. Per 247Sports Composite, Gibbs is ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect in Virginia and the No. 123 offensive tackle in the nation.
Offensive line coach Eric Wolford has taken no time at all filling out this class of lineman and still has a few targets left in his sights. Highly-touted tackle Dylan Wonnum, the younger brother of defensive end Dennis Wonnum, and guard Jovaughn Gwyn have both been reported to be on campus today.
Let us know in the comments what you think of the Gamecocks’ latest commit!
