JUCO WR Ronnie Jamison commits to South Carolina

#SpursUp! Will Muschamp gets his fourth commit of the weekend.

Less than two days after receiving an offer at Friday’s camp, JUCO wide receiver Ronnie Jamison committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks Sunday afternoon.

After a flurry of commitments on Saturday, Jamison becomes the 15th member and third wide receiver in the Gamecocks’ 2018 class of recruits. He joins previous commit Darius Rush from C E Murray and Screven County’s Tyquan Johnson, who committed on Saturday.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play for USC,” Jamison told The State on Sunday. His other offers included Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Idaho, Arkansas State, Southeast Missouri, Southern Miss and UAB.

Jamison also said that the South Carolina coaching staff has been in touch with him for about two months, and he has developed a great relationship with receivers coach Bryan McClendon.

Unranked coming out of Irmo high school, Jamison was a do-it-all offensive weapon, seeing time at quarterback, running back and receiver. As a freshman at Highland Community college he caught 17 passes for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns.
