Where does South Carolina stand with Georgia Southern commit D'Najee Whosendove?

We take a moment to chat with the in-state free safety.

D'Najee Whosendove is a FS/CB out of Allendale-Fairfax HS in South Carolina. Whosendove, a two star FS, fits the mold of a prototypical press corner at 6'1" and with a 4.56 forty yard dash time. It's a known fact that Coach Muschamp likes his tall and physical press corners, and Whosendove certainly fits the bill. During his recruiting process, Whosendove did receive interest from South Carolina, but received an offer from Georgia Southern first and committed soon thereafter.

"I committed early but I'm solid," said Whosendove. "I expect bigger schools to come along as they should and recognize an underrated talent with a lot to prove. Georgia Southern has been my home since freshman year."

At 6'1". Whosendove told me that he played CB "for a brief moment" before he switched to safety. However, while he primarily plays safety now, schools have recruited him at corner.

Watching his tape, I couldn't help but see that he was were a ball hawk; Whosendove told me that he had around nine interceptions this past season. As a player in the secondary, he says that models his game after Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland - an Allendale-Fairfax product - and Cardinals corner Tyrann Mathieu.

Coming from Allendale, a small town of about 3,400 residents, Whosendove is determined to make an impact on the game when he steps onto campus.

"I'm putting on for my town. I want to give my little town hope that you CAN be a successful football player from Allendale, SC. As long as I do that my dream and legacy is fulfilled."
