College Career
Adams' college campaign got off to a fast start in 2012, as he landed SEC All-Freshman honors as a true freshman. Adams caught four passes for 90 yards in his freshman season and one touchdown in nine games of action. Despite a pre-season ankle injury, Adams was able to make a more pronounced impact in 2013. Playing in all 13 of the teams' games including one start, Adams improved his numbers at a rate of 13 receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns.
Last season, Adams -- who was playing behind Rory Anderson most of the time -- was able to improve his numbers yet again despite Anderson's emergence.
With 21 receptions for 279 yards in 13 games and five starts, Adams has shown he can play a heavy snap-count when asked to.
2015 outlook:
Heading into 2015, Adams looks to be a key part of the Gamecocks' offense as he is the only Tight End on the roster with experience at the position. Adams will surely continue to trend up as his snap-count is expected to increase yet again.
Trivia:
In high-school, Adams played a whopping five positions on the football team. Besides Tight End, what were his other positions?
