Grant did not receive any major collegiate offers. He walked-on to join the Gamecocks in the spring of 2015.
College Career
Following his high school football career for Laurens High School, Grant enrolled at South Carolina in the fall of 2014, but didn't immediately try out for the football team. Following the season and before the start of spring practice, Grant joined the team as walk-on defensive back. The 2015 campaign will be Grant's first as a student-athlete for the garnet and black.
2015 Outlook
As a newly initiated member to the football team, it's unlikely Grant will make any game day contributions (aside from looking good in those home unis on the sideline). As a walk-on in his first season, expect Grant to provide some more depth to the secondary while serving on the scout team as a strong safety.
