6' 0" / 207 lbs
Jacksonville, FL

Recruitment

3-star recruit as a safety; numerous offers including Clemson, Ole Miss, NC State, South Florida and Stanford.

College Career

Red-shirted in 2013. Played in nine games in 2014, largely on special teams. Sasser was moved to the spur position—the demanding hybrid safety/linebacker position that Carolina's defense employs—this spring. Sasser, with good size and great athleticism, adapted quickly and is now listed second on the depth chart behind T.J. Gurley. He dazzled in the spring game earlier this year, reeling in 2 interceptions.

2015 Outlook

Currently listed on the second team, Sasser will be the primary backup to Gurley. He's a good bet to see some action in the early months of the season, and may be thrown in the mix more often if the defense struggles to find cohesion.

Trivia

Sasser is a redshirt sophomore defensive back who hails from Jacksonville, Florida. He shares these distinctions with a teammate. Name the other one.
