2016 NFL Draft Results: South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 4th round

One of South Carolina's biggest playmakers is on his way to Los Angeles to start his NFL career.

The Los Angeles Rams have selected Pharoh Cooper with the 19th pick of the 4th round in the 2016 NFL Draft.

After declaring for the 2016 draft as a junior, Cooper brought to a close his spectacular career in Columbia. After a freshman season spent mostly as a return specialist and wildcat QB, he made the Freshman All-SEC team as an all purpose back. His rise to the national spotlight came in his sophomore campaign, where he earned first-team All-SEC honors as a wide receiver with 1,136 yards receiving, 200 yards rushing, and 11 total touchdowns. His junior campaign ended with another first-team All-SEC season, with 973 yards receiving and eight receiving touchdowns.

Although his season was overshadowed by the dismal 3-9 season, draft pundits certainly didn't miss the sheer numbers Pharoh produced in his successful career at the University of South Carolina. After a strong combine outing, despite not running the 40 yard dash, NFL teams started to bring Cooper in for visits. Among the teams that he worked out for were the Lions, Saints, Panthers, Cowboys, Titans, and Patriots.
